How Can I Add a Stage to My Pipeline?

Note: This action is only available to deal admin users or regular users with the required permission.

Adding a new stage to your pipeline in Pipedrive is a straightforward process, enabling you to customise your sales process to better fit your business needs.

Steps to Add a New Stage:

  1. Access the Pipeline Editor:

    • Click the pencil icon next to your pipeline’s name or hover your cursor over a pipeline after opening the dropdown.

     
  2. Add a New Stage:

    • Click the “+” between any two stages to add a new one in that location.

     
  3. Customise the New Stage:

    • You’ll see a new stage in the location you chose. Here, you can edit the stage's name, set the probability, and configure rotting settings.

     

Tips for Customising Stages:

  • Name: Choose a clear and descriptive name for the stage that reflects the step in your sales process.
  • Probability: Set the likelihood of winning a deal at this stage to aid in sales forecasting.
  • Rotting Settings: Define the period after which deals in this stage are considered 'rotten' if they remain inactive.
