How efficient is your business? In a world where efficiency drives growth and

tools for their CRM, finance and operational needs and reaping the rewards as
internal processes evolve and customer journeys improve.

Flowbird attends Make waves 2024 in MunichNow, many companies with multiple systems in place are ready for the next level of innovation. Jason Rainbird, Flowbird’s Managing Director, recently attended an industry conference in Munich to hear how Make, a world-leading automation platform, empowers businesses to connect these systems, taking efficiency to the next level. We asked Jason to share how Flowbird is supporting clients eager to be at the forefront of the next evolution of business automation.

Jason, how embedded is automation in modern business practice?
For many businesses, automation is no longer optional: it’s an essential part of operating
effectively. Businesses don’t grow when they are struggling with inefficient systems,
disconnected tools, and manual workflows that consume time and resources. At Flowbird, we
see every day how automation changes everything for our clients: it improves processes,
empowers teams and gives customers an outstanding experience. Our clients don’t look back –
in fact, once they realise what’s possible, they want to keep evolving.

So how is automation developing?
Automation technology is advancing at pace. One area we’re particularly excited about is
system integration, where platforms like Make are really raising the bar on what can be
achieved. Companies who have embraced the benefits of individual systems can now connect
these and unlock massive efficiencies and cost savings. A cutting-edge platform like Make can
bring together CRM, accountancy, time tracking or other systems to share information and
automate workflows. We’re using Make with clients to bridge the gaps between different parts
of their customer processes, and it’s generating major advantages for their businesses.

11-4How do companies benefit?
Companies using integration platforms no longer waste time manually transferring data between systems or juggling multiple tools. Instead, they focus on high-value activities while
automation takes care of the rest. For example, when a team member logs a customer update on a CRM system, this can prompt a series of next steps. This can range from automatic invoice generation to problem solving or tasking someone to make a follow-up call. Intelligent data analysis can check delivery dates, stock availability and outline next steps, providing automatic client updates. There can also be cost savings, as individuals no longer need to access every
system to re-enter data, meaning you don’t need so many licenses. As well as creating massive efficiencies to workflow processes, the customer experience also improves. Everybody benefits.

Is it complicated to get everything working together?
At Flowbird, we are immersed in this technology every single day, so we’re really good at
making this work seamlessly for our clients. We’ve earned our position as one of Make’s leading
UK partners through our extensive client experience. We’re also very responsive to what our
clients want and need. After an initial set up period, most clients don’t need to give it much
thought: we integrate and maintain their systems while they focus on growing their business.
The beauty of Make is that it works behind the scenes, taking care of processes so you don’t
have to.

Who should be thinking about system integration?
We work with businesses at every stage of the automation process. Some clients come to us
with no processes in place, looking for initial guidance. System integration may be in their
future, but we work with them to make sure the right foundations are in place first. Other
clients may be considering integration for the first time, or are already using basic integration
systems like Zapier, but are finding that they need something more. Others may have reached
the limits of their internal capabilities, and feel the time is right for external expertise.
Whatever the starting point, we use our knowledge and expertise to find the right solutions and
to help businesses think ahead.

How are you helping Flowbird clients embrace the latest tech?
We’re the expert resource our clients have been waiting for. We soak up knowledge and are
actively involved in sector advances, as well as constantly researching and using leading
platforms. Our broad experience means we can spot solutions and ideas that our clients may
not have thought of. And of course, we are really good at asking questions: we really get to the
heart of what your business needs. This is invaluable when you need solutions that work for
different teams. Achieving cross-departmental consensus is easier when you have clarity on all
the available solutions. Personally, I thrive on finding the right solutions for clients, then seeing
them get excited about what else they can do when they realise what’s possible!
