Kent Construction Expo — Flowbird Brings "Deal Dash"

Event Recap

Kent Construction 2025 brought awesome vibes. It was the best show yet: unique ideas, real energy and open conversations that felt like a melting pot for collaboration across the Kent business community. We left tired and buzzing — the kind of day that reminds us why we show up.

Why this event mattered

We’re Flowbird — calm, consultative and quietly ambitious about helping construction companies grow. The sector benefits hugely from the work we do: simplifying systems, aligning teams and making work flow. As patrons of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, we wanted to show up with energy, add value and leave a positive, long-term impression on friends and colleagues across Kent. Your success is our success.

We didn’t bring swag. We brought something better: a simple way to spark conversations about smarter workflows.

Why we built a game (in a day)

We’ve been rebranding while staying laser-focused on client outcomes, so we needed something engaging that didn’t drain time or budget. Instead of mugs and notepads, we made a tiny, low-tech experience to show what we believe: start small, make something that works, measure, then build. We spun up a simple front-end, piped scores to a Google Form and auto-built a live leaderboard. Deal, Dash was thought up, created and integrated in less than a day — the same pace we aim to bring to every client engagement.

From “this looks hard” to “that was easy”

First-time players often told us it looked complicated. Thirty seconds later, they were smiling — and replaying to shave milliseconds off their time. That journey mirrors digital adoption: new can feel daunting; good design makes it feel natural.

  • Queues formed. People crowded round the screen. The competitive spirit came out.
  • Final submission landed 3 seconds before we closed — stealing silver.
  • Neighbouring stand: “All my staff have gone!? They’re all over here playing Deal-Dash.” (Sorry… not sorry.)
“THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER” · “The leaderboard is upsetting me” · “I’m going to hide in a corner and play Deal-Dash all day.”

Adoption first. Then scale.

Whether you’re a large enterprise with serious budgets or a growing independent in Kent, the path is the same: make one small digital change, measure its impact, enjoy the win, then roll out more. That’s what Deal, Dash demonstrates — and it’s how we deliver. Natural choices, steady momentum, and systems your teams actually like using.
